MATICRUST came from the Filipino word "Matikas" which means: firm, strong, durable, etc.. and adding "Crust" to it is based from their influence of (Anarcho Crust Punk - In Grind we Crust) during their teenage years involvement of the underground punk scene of the early 90's.
